Who I am
As I mention before, KarPer is my artistic signature. I came into this hobby when I was a teenager. At that moment, Canon has just put out into the market the revolutionary A-1 Model, film camera, and I was starting my studies in Architecture. I developed a passion for taking photos of the interaction between volume and space, buildings, their surroundings. I also enjoyed the architectural elements of historic building that would make them so very special.
After I graduated as an Architect, I dedicated my life to my work until an event happened in my life that made me realize that life was not only about work.
Since 2007 I got more spare time. I started to take classes at Miami Dade College CE in the new digital photography field as well as some black and white. This decision has been a life change experience for me. It is my passion again. All these have been encourage by four great fellow students whom all came together and founded our own small friend club named “Photo Club Miami 5” in honor to the five founders including Mariela, Oscar, Albert, Roger and myself.
Nowadays, I have decided to take credit classes in order to create my own style. I am taking photography as well as graphic design classes. Photography is an art in which today you can be very creative. I am not a journalist, and I consider manipulation as a tool to create you on style.
The main equipment that I use is my Nikon D-80 with the 18-200 mm and the 300 mm Nikon lens. Software used; Photshop, Dreamweaver, and Fireworks.
As you may realize, this page is the result of one of my classes, and I am very proud of it. I hope you enjoy your visit to my web page, and at the end please give me some of your feedback. It will be really appreciated.
